This study aims to analyze the institutionalization of the Golkar Party in Jambi Province in the context of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. The research employs a qualitative method with case study approach. The findings reveal that the institutionalization of the Golkar Party in Jambi Province during the 2024 simultaneous elections demonstrates a complex dynamic. From the systemness indicator, the party possesses a solid organizational network down to the grassroots level, yet remains fragile in decision-making procedures due to elite dominance and competing interests. In terms of autonomy, the Regional Leadership Council (DPD I or II) has limitations in maneuvering political decisions due to the influence of central party elites and internal power relations. Meanwhile, value infusion indicates that the loyalty of cadres, leaders, and sympathizers is preserved through the party’s symbols, historical legacy, and reputation. Regarding reification, Golkar Jambi’s electoral victories strengthen public perceptions of the party as legitimate, established, and relevant in local political contests. Thus, the consolidation of party institutionalization at the local level faces its most significant challenges in decision-making autonomy. Nevertheless, the strength of its organizational system, internal loyalty, and positive public image collectively ensure the party’s resilience and electoral strength.
