The title of this research is “Decoding Slang in Teenage X Communication.” Communication is a social activity synonymous with social contact. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected from selected posts and captions on the account and analyzed based on linguistic forms and communicative functions. In this context, communication includes a wide range of access known as mass communication or public language. Mass communication or public language can be found, among other things, on social media. Additionally, language is one aspect of culture because it plays an important role in society for people to get to know each other, both nationally and internationally. The following are the conclusions related to the research questions presented: 1. The forms of slang language in the content uploaded on the @skipberat account consist of several forms, including abbreviations (acronyms, abbreviations, fragments), inversions, puns, and foreign words. 2. The purpose of using slang language in the @skipberat account was found to have several reasons or purposes, as mentioned by Patridge (1950). In the analyzed data, four purposes were identified: to facilitate social interaction, to soften words, to create a concise and concrete vocabulary, and to appear different or modern.
