Abstract

This research falls under the field of sociolinguistics and focuses on code-mixing in the Indah G Show podcast. The primary objective is to identify the types and factors of code-mixing present on the Indah G Show YouTube channel. The channel was selected due to its frequent use of various forms and motivations for code-mixing. This study specifically examines episodes discussing the influence of LGBT issues and the life of Ustad Felix Siauw. A descriptive qualitative method was employed to gather and analyze the data. The theoretical framework for identifying code-mixing types is based on Muysken (2000), while the analysis of influencing factors draws from Holmes (2013). The findings reveal that three main types of code-mixing are present: insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization. Additionally, four key factors were found to influence the speakers' use of code-mixing: participants, solidarity, status, and topic.
