The increasing demand for sugar is not matched by an increase in sugar productivity due to climatic factors, limited availability of new superior varieties and pest attacks on sugarcane. One way to increase sugarcane productivity and resistance to pests is to provide quality planting material (seeds) through artificial breeding. This study aims to determine the diversity of growth and resistance to fire disease pests in several superior sugarcane clones in polybag media. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah Gresik University in Klangonan Village, Kebomas District, Gresik Regency. The research began in March 2023 until August 16, 2023. This study used a singlefactor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 11 sugarcane clones. Each treatment was repeated three times. Three samples were made for each treatment. The observed variables were qualitative (morphological characteristics of stems, leaves and shoots) and quantitative (stem height, number of leaves, number of tillers, disease attack intensity and attack symptoms). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, Anova, BNT test at 5% level, correlation test, heritability test and genetic diversity value. The results showed a significant difference in the variables of stem height, number of leaves and number of tillers. The level of fire wound disease attack has not appeared in 11 clones, but has shown symptoms of attack. Heritability and genetic diversity values in the high category were recorded for stem height (10.4%), number of tillers (78, 53%) and in the rather low category for the number of leaves (3.37%)
